How to Apply

Please Read Thoroughly Before Submitting an Application.

All applicants must complete an application form in order to apply to the Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust grant scheme, please ensure that the answers in each section are succinct. There is now a word count on the questions that need answering.

Applicants are asked to read through the guidelines of the grant scheme thoroughly before putting pen to paper.  The Trust will now operate three rounds a year one for each type of application - Regional, Local and National.

The scheme is now open to receive applications from Regional organisations. It will close on Monday 6th September 2010 at 12 noon . The Trustees will meet mid November to award funding to Regional applicants. Therefore projects need to be starting after December 2010.

The scheme will be open from mid November until 22nd December to receive applications from Local organisations. The Trustees will meet early March to award funding to Local applicants . Therefore projects need to be starting after Mid March 2011.

The scheme will be open from early March until 22nd April to receive applications from National organisations. The Trustees will meet end June to award funding to National applicants.  Therefore projects need to be starting after July 2011.

Currently applications can only be submitted by post and must be accompanied by a copy of the organisation’s constitution and most recent bank statement. The name of the applicant has to be the same as the name on the constitution and bank statement. Applications should contain no additional information – any other information included with the application will not be considered when the application is being assessed by the Trust and will be destroyed in accordance with data protection legislation. Applicants are asked to keep a copy of their application to enable them to refer to it should the Trust require any additional information to come to a decision.

The Trust cannot take responsibility for an application failing to be submitted if the applicant has not taken the appropriate action to ensure that the application reaches the Trust office.

Applications MUST be received by  12 noon on the day of the deadline. Applicants are asked to note that applications received by fax or email will NOT be accepted since a signed copy of the original application is required.

Applicants are asked to ensure that the appropriate value of stamps has been secured on the application when posting. A first class stamp will not be sufficient and the Trust cannot afford to incur outstanding postage fees.

Timeframes

Please see above for the schedule of rounds and meeting dates. All applicants will be advised or the outcome of their bid in writing shortly after this time.

The decision of the board is final and applicants cannot appeal against the Trustee’s decision.

Funding is issued on an annual basis. Successful applicants will have 12 months to undertake their project from the date of grant offer.

Applicants who are not successful can reapply to the Trust.

Applicants who are successful will not be able to reapply to the Trust until a period of three years from the date of original grant offer.
